Liverpool face Tottenham in Carabao Cup semi-finals
The Carabao Cup semi-finals draw has delivered exciting matchups for
English football fans. Liverpool, the competition's most successful club with
10 titles and the current holders, will face Tottenham in a thrilling
two-legged tie.
The first leg will be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the
decisive second leg at Anfield.
In the other semi-final, Arsenal will take on Newcastle. The London club
will host the first leg at Emirates Stadium, while the return leg will take
place at St. James' Park.
Fans are particularly excited about the possibility of a North London
derby final between Arsenal and Tottenham. While the two rivals have never met
in a domestic final, they have clashed in four League Cup semi-finals: 1968,
1987, 2007, and 2008.
The first legs of the semi-finals are scheduled for the week commencing
6 January 2025, with the return legs set for the week beginning 3 February. The
grand final will take place on 16 March at the iconic Wembley Stadium.
